Description
Up next for bidding is a scarce copy of Rage Against the Machine's The Battle of Los Angeles. Released November 1999, so somewhat rare in the vinyl LP format. Whole package comes as shown in the photos, with the original picture/lyrics innersleeve and custom turntable mat!
Record has been played sparingly, rating VG++ for clean sound quality, with only very light signs of handling and a small amount of spindle spidering noticeable on the label on side two. Turntable mat is NM, clean and rarely used. Innersleeve has a small amount of creasing and a tiny tear at top center -- still looks extremely nice. Jacket has no discernible wear to speak of and rates NM. Bid with gusto!
LPs from Michael the Record Nut!
As a long-time record buyer and (for now) simultaneous professional student and teacher, I am excited to continue to make available LPs I have collected over the last dozen years but now need to winnow from my shelves. The items I will be posting include quite a range of genres and interests – soundtracks, specialty records, and albums ranging from the typical mainstream to the unexpectedly weird. Please note my conditions of sale:
-I use Goldmine standards to rate my albums, and I seek to do so conservatively. The records themselves are rated visually and often given a playgrade, so that I can review the material one last time while listening for invisible defects and/or relatively better audio compared with my visual perception of the album surface. If there are any potential flaws in an item, I will make sure you know about those upfront. As a rule, I will not attempt to sell records that rate below VG for the total package (unless the item in question is rare or hard to come by). Because I deal largely in used stock and will be thorough in explaining an item's condition, please note that all sales are "as is" and final – returns are not accepted.
-I ship through USPS services to destinations in the U.S. only. All records will be packed sturdily in quality cardboard, with records and innersleeves removed from jackets to avoid seam splits on used items. Because of my school and work schedules, all shipping will go out twice a week, by Wednesday (if an album was purchased the previous weekend) and by Saturday (for all later purchases or payments).
-I will accept payments for items through PayPal only. If you win one or more of my auctions, please make sure items are paid for within 7 days of the listing's end -- otherwise I will relist the item and report failure to pay.
-Shipping will be at cost to the buyer, through Media Mail with delivery confirmation. I charge a starting fee of $4.00 for one album to nominally cover the time and expense of handling your order, in addition to the actual cost of shipping. This breaks down to:
· $2.89 for shipping at the media rate,
· $0.85 for the delivery confirmation, and
· roughly $0.26 for handling/packing/delivery to the post office.
-I will always be willing to combine shipping on multiple wins/purchases. Just make sure to request an invoice prior to completing your purchase. Get a bunch of items at once and save big at only an additional $0.50 per album for shipping, all in one package!
-The bottom line: I will make every attempt to insure your satisfaction as my customer. Let me know of any problems prior to posting negative or neutral feedback, as this will help me to refine my services and better serve my fellow record collectors out there. Enjoy, and happy bidding!
