Description
This is part of a large auction of blues, R&B and a few rock n' roll 10" 78's. Almost all of these came from the collection of a 1950's Yale radio DJ. Across the board, they have been played very little.

Format: 78 rpm 10" shallac record
Year: 1953
Notes: Red and white first pressing. This is a really tough record to find. It's the only release by this Washington DC area group who at various times also went by The Bachelors & The Links. Classic 50's sound on this one. A-side is a smooth ballad, the B-side is a little more uptempo. Both tracks are really good.
Record Condition: E, playing surface itself it in fantastic shape, just a couple of very small scuffs. Plays and sounds great. Almost no surface noise at all. The main issue is a very small chip right at the edge that doesn't affect play (before first run in groove). Without that, this would easily be E+. There is also one area of cosmetic hazing due to liquid exposure. The labels are very clean with no marks, tears or scuffs. Despite the chip, this is a really nice copy overall.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. I am an experienced grader and use the VJM grading system, but please see pictures as so much of this is subjective. These will be shipped in sleeves in a cardboard sandwich in a box for maximum protection.
