DESCRIPTION: Rainbow LP- Long Live Rock N Roll. Textured gatefold sleeve and LYRIC INSERT. 1st UK pressing A1/B1 matrix. I have had this Lp with the insert once or twice before but only with the A1/B2 matrix only. Correct white poly lined inner. LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER:Polydor POLD 5002 YEAR OF RELEASE: 1978 COUNTRY OF RELEASE: UK CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): EX+/EX+. Vinyl is very clean with a mirror-like sheen. It has a tiny chip out of the edge of the vinyl that ends well before the first run-in groove. Played passages of this today on my Pro-ject Deck at a nice healthy volume to get my neighbour back for making a racket last night. Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Sounds Excellent, clear and loud with great depth and seperation. Long Live Rock N Roll!! Cover has the most amazing shape. It is as firm and square as the day it left the shop and has less than light edgewear, cornerwear and negligable creasing. Double sided insert in very near EX condition, has one creased corner. Inside of gatefold is immaculate. Original poly lined inner is also EX and obviously has no splits. Clean labels. No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. This is the best copy of this classic UK Lp that i have ever had. Im sure you will agree that the cover (at least) is conservatively graded as well. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading System but please note that GRADINGS ARE VISUAL ONLY UNLESS STATED. You are likely to get some background noise , even if its just between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS.
