Description
A very rare, unopened 1972 SANTA DOG double 45 set; one of only three hundred distributed by the Residents to their friends. I received mine from the Residents for my recording with them (I am the "Aphids in the Hall/Schwump" guy). The images are a scan of the front and back, and a close-up of the Ralph's hand scribble.
This copy has no number, but has a "Ralph Records" scribble on the back side. The records are still sealed in the original celophane, though the celophane is showing some age and some wear; probably not meant to last 35 years!!

On Mar-04-07 at 20:56:50 PST, seller added the following information:A potential bidder for SANTA DOG brought up the fact that some of the sets were sealed before they were dried, thus the graphics were damaged then the album was opened. The following information is from a link about SANTA DOG : http://www.residents.com/bh/SANTADOG.htm
"..500 copies were pressed but only 400 were usable because of various problems. Some of the sets were shrink-wrapped before the varnish on the silk-screening was dry and the packages had to be torn apart to be opened. Of the 400 usable copies, 300 were sent out to friends, record companies, and anyone else who came to mind..."
Based on this information, my guess would be that I got one of the three hundred sets sent to friends, which means most likely, but not absolute, that I have one of the copies that will not damage upon opening it. I don't want my buyer to freak out if the graphics damage upon opening the album, but on the other hand, I think opening it would lower it's virgin value. Comments from potential bidders are welcomed!!
