Ralph Robles’ Was Here is a landmark Fania Records release from 1967, showcasing the raw, street-level energy that defined the birth of salsa dura. Produced by Fania co-founders Johnny Pacheco and Jerry Masucci, the album captures Robles’ fiery trumpet style backed by an all-star lineup, with vocal contributions from José “Piliche” Elisier.
