You are bidding on a Vinyl issue of The Ramones’ 1980 LP “End Of The Century” issued on Sire Records; (SRK 6077). This LP appears to be an original 1980 issue.  The LP comes with an inner sleeve containing song lyrics and pictures.  This LP is the (in)famous LP produced by Phil Spector. 

The Ramones were an American punk rock band that formed in the New York City neighborhood of Forest Hills, Queens, in 1974. They are often cited as the first true punk rock group. Despite achieving a limited commercial appeal in the United States during their time together, the band saw more success in England and Brazil, and are today seen as highly influential.

We purchased this item decades ago, played it (and enjoyed it!), and it has been sitting in our home (vertically) for the last few decades. 

The condition of this item is very close to perfect. The LP is in excellent condition. The LP cover is in near mint condition; the corners look mostly sharp, with some slight wear around some corners.  (See Photos).The inner sleeve has some lyrics and photos of the band.

Please remember that this album was well taken care of, but it was played as part of our record collection decades ago. with only very minor wear

Ramones:  End Of The Century (1980): 

“I'm the only person in the world who thinks that this is a perfect album, and quite possibly the last classic Ramones record as well. Sure, "Baby I Love You" shouldn't be on a punk album, but it's not bad by any means. The main highlights here, as you'd expect, are "Do You Remember Rock N' Roll Radio" and "Chinese Rock", the former a Top 10 Ramones song with a beat instantly recognizable and the latter an extremely well produced punk rock song written by the band's best writer, Dee Dee. There are a ton of other amazing cuts here, "Rock and Roll High School" in particular, and the album is definitely worth a listen”.

“Epic, mature, poppy, and harmonious, “End Of The Century” is arguably the most controversial album the band had made up to this point, as it seems to mix the style established in the previous album with a 60s pop sound. While that may put off some fans, this album absolutely nails the sound it is going for with its atmospheric and mature sound. Mix that with the excellent structure, great composition, and memorable material aplenty, and what you’ve got here is an underrated classic that deserves far more attention than it has gotten. It may not be the most punk the bruthas from Queens has been, but it’s the most mature and consistent they’ve sounded at this point, and with the aforementioned pros, this is still a fantastic rock’n’roll album from the end of the 20th century that should be looked at for what it is instead of what it’s not, as for what it is, it’s a near masterpiece like their previous albums, but in a different way”.
