Description
Ramones ORIG OZ LP Pleasant dreams EX ’81 Sire SRK3571 New York Punk
Original OZ LP released in 1981 on Sire Records. Cat: SRK3571. Comes with printed lyric inner back which has some light marks and tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.End of the Century didn't make the Ramones into the stars they so wanted to be, so they hooked up with another '60s icon, Graham Gouldman, for its follow-up, Pleasant Dreams. Oddly, Gouldman directs the band away from their bubblegum, British Invasion, and surf fetishes toward acid rock and heavy metal. They still manage to squeak out a couple of irresistibly catchy songs, but the production is too clean to qualify as punk, and the music itself has lost sight of the infectious qualities that made their earlier records such fun. Yet those flaws seem endearing compared to the metallic meanderings of their late-'80s records.
Tracks : We want the airwaves/ All’s quiet on the eastern front/ The KKK took my baby away/ Don’t go/ You sound like you’re sick/ It’s not my place/ She’s a sensation/ 7-11/ You didn’t mean anything to me/ Come on now/ This business is killing me/ Sitting in my room. There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has light scuff marks that cause a few light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has some ringwear, some light marks, scuffing on corners and some tiny surface tears around edges and is in VG+ condition.
