Ramones ORIG US LP End of the Century EX ’80 Sire SRK6077 Punk Rock
Original US LP released in 1980 on Sire Records. Cat: SRK6077. Comes with original printed lyric inner bag which has a piece of sticky tape on one edge and is in Excellent condition. Road to Ruin found the Ramones stretching their signature sound to its limits; even though there were several fine moments, nearly all of them arrived when the group broke free from the suddenly restrictive loud-fast-hard formula of their first records. Considering that the Ramones did desire mainstream success and that they had a deep love for early-'60s pop/rock, it's not surprising that they decided to shake loose the constrictions of their style by making an unabashed pop album, yet it was odd that Phil Spector produced End of the Century, because his painstaking working methods seemingly clashed with the Ramones' instinctual approach. However, the Ramones were always more clever than they appeared, so the matching actually worked better than it could have

There are a few light spindle marks on labels. Record has some light scuff marks that cause some light crackles and is in Excellent condition. Cover has some tiny surface tears around edges and some light creasme marks on top left and bottom right corner and is in VG+ condition.
Wrapping method: All records are sent in stiff cardboard mailers then wrapped in brown paper and sealed around edges with brown packaging tape. Records are taken out of sleeve to avoid seam splits and ring wear.
