Description
For sale is The Ramones Road To Ruin, released in 1978 on Sire Records. On the run-out dead wax is the etched symbol for the Winchester, Virginia pressing plant, a rare release with the etching that looks like a tipped over wine glass but actually is a Winchester rifle. After that are the matrix numbers WW1/WW/1 which indicated it's a first pressing. There is also Sterling stamped on the run-out, signifying the Sterling Sounds, NYC studio. I bought this new and immediately put this album, like all my records, in a protective inner sleeve. The cover has one stress crack around the top and some minor ring wear. The spine is excellent, with only a few stress cracks and a color loss of 1/32". The original inner sleeve is near mint. The vinyl is Near Mint, except there's two light surface scratches across side 1, that doesn't affect playback. It's been played on only Audiophile equipment over the years and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I'm a big fan the Ramones and have a lot of their 45 RPM singles and more of their albums in my Ebay store. Please take a look! There are ALL mint! I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative.
