Description

Rare 12-inch Transcription for the Century Of Progress 1934 - Chicago World's Fair of 1933 - 34 It was made to be played at the Brunswick-Balke-Collender Co. Exhibit The recording plays at 33-1/3 rpm, and the same recording plays on both sides of the record. It was pressed by RCA Victor, and is pressed in a semi-unbreakable Victrolac material
While Brunswick is known to most record collectors as the producer of Brunswick 78rpm records, they were also involved in various businesses, from Bowling Balls to Radios. Here, Brunswick is promoting their Bar business... the type of Bar one would stand at for a beer or drink.
Brunswick, seemingly, is trying to take a lead on selling bars since Prohibition was only recently repealed at this time.
The announcer, at one point during his presentation, talk-sings to the tune of "Did You Ever See A Dream Walking" . . . . . . replacing the word "Dream" with "Bar" ( ! )
