COMMENTS: Absolutely gorgeous copy of this rare & long out of print limited edition (# 1402) HQ 180 gram DCC Classics Audiophile LP. Fantastic sound! Comes w/ original rice paper inner sleeve.
Recorded In Mono in 1958 by Rudy Van Gelder and remastered by Steve Hoffman on all tube electronics, cutting amplifiers by VAC, and vinyl quality second to none. These are every bit as good as MOFI and Classic records. Classic Coltrane.

Personnel: John Coltrane (tenor saxophone); Donald Byrd (trumpet); Red Garland (piano); Earl May, Paul Chambers (bass); Art Taylor, Louis Hayes, Albert "Tootie" Heath (drums). Recorded at the Van Gelder Studio, Hackensack, New Jersey on May 31 & August 16, 1957 and January 10, 1958.
