Description

From 1919 this 78 rpm record is on the MEDALLION label with a catalog number of 8132.It is the LOUISIANA FIVE doing VIRGINIA BLUES b/w ARTHUR COLLINS doing THE SUICIDE BLUES.I will grade the 78 very good.My understanding is that these tracks recorded in 1919 were released on EMERSON before the MEDALLION issue. The Louisiana five was one of the first groups to record Dixieland Jazz and Arthur Collins was one of the first white people to record the blues. You can hear THE SUICIDE BLUES on YouTube.
