1966 45 rpm 7” single “The English Setters” “Tragedy/If she’s alright” Glad/Hamp records white promo label.
The English setters were formed in 1966 in the Washington DC area and consisted of brothers Chris and Doug Grimes,Punky Meadows,Larry Gray and David Alves. In 1968 they changed their name to “cherry people”.
Great late 60’s garage/psych rock sound. I personally prefer side 2 “if she’s alright” over the “a” side.
The group only released 2 singles on the label. This being their first. You can hear the songs on YouTube,someone has posted the tunes there.
Label has writing and wear,playing surface very nice,but could use cleaning,has some dirt? near outer edge on both sides. Photos were taken outside in full light,reflections are clouds in the sky.
one of these just sold for $98 and I’ve seen them go for over $200 in the past.
Came from stereo collectors estate. Please examine photos.
