Rare and very low pressing (only 100 or so sold) recording from 1968 Utica, NY band. Recorded at Kama Sutra studio in NYC. Reminiscent of The Animals and other British Invasion groups. HERE IS A HISTORY OF TEH BAND FROM LEAD GUITARIST TREY LOTZ:

I was lead guitar, my brother John Lotz, Lead singer and rhythm guitarist, and a good friend Ralph Guastaferro on drums started the Roosters in Amherst, a suburb of Buffalo and we played under different names for a few years when I went to college at Hamilton College. John soon followed and went to Utica College, and Ralph went to Mohawk. We connected up with Bass player, Peter Brohl and his good friend Jim Solan who became our booker. We started playing in and around Utica in 1965 and we played in the area until the end of 1968, Our home base was Livingston's cafe out near Clinton, but we played a lot of high school dances and other clubs in the area. Mostly we played around Central New York and a little in Vermont and Massachusetts at college weekends where we would come on Friday and play 3 or four shows until Sunday. I did this all through college and then after I graduated in 67, Bill Owen and then Bob Dziedzic replaced Pete on bass. We also had a keyboard guy from New York, Ronnie Gusman, and later Jim Ehinger (Later with Billy vera etc). Our first record was "I Wanna Do It "b/w You Don't Need Any Reason. Both of these are on Youtube with some photos of the group. We then went to NYC to record MidnightGreen, also on You Tube, b/w Hurry Sundown. Our final record was Lost and Found b/w The Rooster Song, also on You Tube. These records were self produced. The originals we did were written by our friend Spider Barbour who also had a group on MGM called Chrysalis. I wrote the lyrics on Lost and Found and the Hurry Sundown record. I published the songs, designed the label, and we all recorded the music in a 2 track in a garage in Buffalo, engineered by the bass player from Raven, a great Buffalo band. We had them pressed up and sold them locally. We broke up at the end of 68 but we all remain good friends until today. It was truly a great experience.
