Original 1968 US press. Rare disc!
Great and still fairly undiscovered "Funky" Northern/Mod/New-breed-Soul gem form Compton, Los Angeles! Sherwood (born on August 8th, 1936, the 7th child of a sharecropper in Hillhouse, Mississippi) is a obscure, "mostly" Blues singer (as can be heard on the fine b-side of this 45). After recording only two or three 45s in the 60s Sherwood made an excellent and surprising comback album named "Blues, Blues, Blues" in 2015 after many, many years of obscurity.
