Item offered is a rare 1977 pressing of Pink Floyd's "Animals" album, pressed in pink vinyl, with solid pink inner and outer sleeves, and a "medium thick" plastic outer sleeve cover. I bought the LP for my collection in 1977 or '78, and have been the sole owner; I would consider the record to be in "NM" condition ("near mint"), as my best recollection is that I opened it to look at the pink vinyl, and don't remember playing it, as I knew even back then, that it was rare. Before this listing I did play it to check it, and can report to the potential bidder that it is without any skips, click, or "pops;" there is some surface noise typical of the vinyl itself...but I believe that it has been played only a "handful" (5) of times, or less. The close up pictures of the labels provide the same information as the standard LP version. Bidders with more expertise and knowledge may or may not find the "inner stamping" information useful: on Side 1, the inner stamps (located in the blank space between the last track and the label), read: "98434 A 21B" and directly opposite that, "M6 31 58 68 1." Similarly, on Side 2: "98434 B 21B" and directly opposite that, "M6 315805 1". I have listed the album as a "Harvest" release, although the word does not appear on the labels, only "EMI Records LTD".
