Dated 1978 this 45 rpm record is on the COLUMBIA label with a catalog number of 3-10840.It is Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond doing YOU DON'T BRING ME FLOWERS.If you are a true fan of Barbra and Neil you know the story behind this tune and if not you will find lots of information on the web.In short a Louisville,Kentucky,disc Gary Guthrie was splitting with his wife.He worked at WAKY radio and at the time Barbra and Neil both had album versions of this tune.He mixed them and played it and it was very well received.COLUMBIA got word of it and brought Barbra and Neil into the studio to record a version and it became a big hit.For promotion purposes WAKY 79 radio had special labels made that they put over the stock COLUMBIA labels,this is one of those.I will grade the record near mint and it comes with VG sleeve.
