Description

  • NOTE: This is a 1st-Edition set of BOTH the VINI REILLY LP AND the BONUS MORRISSEY 7" - rarely found together in mint condition.
  • Almost all of the listings for this record on this or other selling platforms are for the LP ONLY, often from a later edition, or the 7" ONLY.  The few complete first-edition sets I was able to find are either from outside the US and/or in a lesser condition.

 1,000 first-edition copies of The Durutti Column VINI REILLY came with the bonus 7" by Morrissey - I KNOW VERY WELL HOW I GOT MY NOTE WRONG.  Later editions came without it.  These mint discs (see photos and provenance note below) are identified as part of this first pressing, first edition by the matrix/runout wax stamps between the grooves and label, which read:
Side A: FACT-244-A2 ✱ The Exchange MAX Sixth Autumn
Side B: FAC-244-B2 ✱ JONZ MAX POLE BITCH Side C (Morrissey 7"): FAC-244/7-A TS-001-A-1 LYN 22942 A
Although the very slight scuffs and bends on the LP cardboard sleeve are probably from commercial shipping and storage (see photos), I'm ranking it at near-mint condition rather than mint.  The 7" sleeve is in pristine, mint condition (see photos).

PROVENANCE NOTE:  The vinyl records I list are for a collector who has one or more duplicates of each of those listed.  They have either never been played or very lightly played.  He purchased them mostly in the year of their release, mostly at various record stores around the US.  Most sleeve degradation is due to shipping to and storage at these record stores, with most of them being at mint or near-mint condition.
