Description

Ultra-rare "Don't Turn Away" b/w "I Can't Wait" by Willy McDougal on Kinard RI 2318.  Vinyl and label are in very good condition, some visible minor light scratches - plays great! no skips and noise.  Label on B side was applied off-center (see photo).    Matrix numbers are:  etched, RI 2213-A2 and RI 2318-A2, and RI 2213-B2 and 2318-B2.               FYI, Willy McDougal (Willie J. McDougal) originally was from Winston-Salem, NC, and lived in Greensboro, NC.  He also made some recordings under the name  "Billy Mack".  The arranger on both sides was Fred Tanner, a noted arranger and stage band director at Winston-Salem State University (NC).   Will ship in generic white paper sleeve.  Please contact me if you have questions.
