Labels: Show a fair amount of ring wear and the B Side has a sticker remnant
Record: Retains decent original gloss w/ a fair amount of light surface scuffs. Side A plays a strong VG++ w/ a little light random background surface noise and also has a few tiny light scratches that cause a few very light background ticks. Side B plays VG++ w/ some light random background surface noise and a few very light background ticks./ VPI cleaned
COMMENTS: Original copy of this legendary and hard to find 45 on this Pickwick budget knock off label. It is the first known collaboration between Lou Reed and John Cale. In the April issue of the UK magazine Uncut Cale states that this is the record that made me love Lou Reed and "It's all "Louie, Louie" changes, and the first song that Lou & I wrote together one drunken evening. It was my first Rock & Roll session." Even on this track you can hear the beginnings of the Velvet Underground choppy drone guitar sound as evidenced by the attached clip (SEE BELOW). The All Night Workers also feature Otis Smith with Lloyd Baskin and Mike Esposito - Syracuse-area mates of Lou Reed. Baskin went later on to Seatrain, and Esposito went to the Blue Magoos.
NOTE: VPI cleaned means that this record was cleaned on a professional $500 cleaning machine, which does wonders for the playback of all vinyl records!
