Rare historical 10-inch shellac record: THE POPE OF PEACE - POPE PIUS XI - Left This Lasting Blessing for You (part 1/part 2), issued by Sterling Record Co. No date, but he was Pope from 1922 until his death in 1939. Very scarce, I can't find any online to compare it to, nor any mentioned in completed-auction listings. Has a very nice picture label on both sides with image of the Pope.
Condition is VG+ (still has some sheen, minor scuffing, B-side has several short scratches that I can feel but that will almost certainly play through, though with minor ticks; clean labels).

A NOTE ON SHIPPING SHELLAC RECORDS: I use the floating method, with the record sandwiched between strong pieces of cardboard with corrugate in opposite directions, then placed inside a larger sturdy box with packing material all around inside to prevent any movement (either peanuts, large-bubble wrap, or crumpled paper). Sometimes if I have old 10" LP jackets I don't need, I will put your record in it before sandwiching; otherwise will be in a paper sleeve. I will also always insure these with the USPS. Due to the extra time, materials, insurance, and overall high level of stress associated with shipping these safely (YOU know!), I am asking $6.00 for Media Mail shipping ($4 is actual shipping cost). I think it is reasonable, and I get the feeling that most collectors who buy these online are happy to pay a little extra for the added assurance.
