Scarce 78 rpm gay interest / female impersonator/drag artist: RAY BOURBON - Gentleman's Gentleman b/w The Rehearsal - The New Bourbon Records, 101; recorded in Hollywood with Jack Burke at the piano; released in the 1930's. This one is very scarce, the first release on his "New" Bourbon label.  I can't find any other copies of this online to compare it to.
Rae Bourbon (aka "Ray Bourbon") started in show business in silent movies and in English music halls; he was in Mae West's New York show in the 20's and, in the 1930s and 40s, was known for his gay themed nightclub revue and performances in San Francisco, Los Angeles and many other cities. Ray recorded and released these records himself, selling them at nightclub appearances, via mail order, and through selected record shops. 
Condition is VG-/VG (A-side VG- with some moderate scuffs and surface marks and some soft scratches, B-side has the same but softer overall; some rubbing to labels).
