Very Rare and unusual early 78rpm political speech recording Busy Bee Record A-157 - one-sided pressing. An "Amberized" record William Jennings Bryan speech Speech content indicates this was the speech on Labor that Bryan delivered in the Chicago Auditorium before a huge audience. Content says Bryan accepted the speaking engagement before the Denver Convention. This would make this a speech for the 1908 Presidential Election. This record is an apparent recorded re-creation, based on reverse side sticker/labels. It seems William Jennings Bryan approved the speech to be recorded by another speaker. The record is quite a mini-production for 1908 . . . Record opens with a band playing "Dixie" amid crown noises and cheers. The speech is well delivered, with occasional cheers and crowd noises. The speech is very much pro-Labor and Organized Labor The recording closes with a band playing strains of "The Star Spangled Banner" See original labels / stickers on blank reverse, giving more details about record Condition E- . . . plays very well - loud and clear.
