Description
A rare and un-played 78 RPM shellac record of the African Jazz Kwela genre in South Africa's Apartheid era. South African pressing on HMV Label which reads the following : A side. Stamp mekaar ( Meaning stamp feet together) ...the B side is Monkey Jive number 4...........
Artist: Zeph (Zee Zee ) Nkabinde and his Saxophone............. Record description : Saxophone Jive
Disc number: JP950....Matrix Number- OAS 2405 and OAS 2406
Pressed in the Union of South Africa.
It includes this very scarcely seen sleeve ( HMV Bantu records) With images of A typical African Bantu Tribe in traditional setting.
The sleeve is not in any Mint condition please see the images for the wear and tear. The one side is in better condition than the other, the worst side has tear marks to the corners and is Missing the 'H' from HMV and has noticeable tears on the corners....however it is still a very scarce and desirable addition to any collection of African 78's. I have only ever seen this example as a 'one off piece' who knows when another will surface....A fantastic, 'must have' African nostalgic Item.
