This item comes from a collection of rare and desirable classical records which I have been collecting over the years. There are many highly sought after "Golden Age" stereo pressings form Decca SXL, Columbia SAX, HMV ASD, Philips 'Hi-Fi Stereo', Mercury Living Presence, RCA Living Stereo series, audiophile and TAS listed items, and early mono pressings on Les Discophiles Francais, Ducretet-Thomson, Lumen, Pre-Melodiya etc. Featuring artists and conductors such as Furtwangler, Ansermet, Klemperer, Cluytens, Kempe, Szell, Campoli, Ricci, Oistrakh, Milstein, Kogan, Shafran, Rostropovich, Starker, Fournier, Mainardi, Martzy, Ida Haendel and many others.

Highly sought-after original first stereo pressing on Decca Records SXL 2027, wide band deep grooved label with "Original recording by" credit at 10 o'clock and the earliest 1E/1E matrices. The date on the back is 3/59.
The record is EX+ with just one long but harmless scuff on side 1. The cover is EX/EX+. A very nice example of this rare and collectible audiophile LP.

The LP is first removed from the cover and then placed in a protective plastic outer sleeve to avoid seam splits. Extra care is taken with fragile items such as shellac discs and boxed sets.
