Description
This record was used by radio stations on the East Coast USA. It is a promotional record used to herald in the Beatles for their first historic concerts in the United States. Vee Jay Records still owned the U.S. rights for this record. They were later sued by Capital Records and forced to drop the sales. Copies of this particular 7 inch record are undetermined, however there was another issue of this record with a sleeve. some say that the "official" promo was estimated at around 500 copies issued to radio stations. This variation was also used, but is more rare. These copies have been around and most copies are in bad shape. This is not a Mint copy, which would be worth a lot more. i.e. $700.00. The collectability of this record will only increase as time goes by. The sound is much clearer than say, the later issues on the LP "Early Beatles," and has a high loud tone. Again, there is crackle noise and pops. This IS NOT a perfect copy!
