Up for auction is the sought after MFSL LP "Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles and hand numbered 1745 out of 5,000. This comes in the original box with paperwork, and foam pads. The jacket is hand numbered 1745 as seen in picture #2. This record has been VISUALLY graded using Goldmine standards as VG+ with amazing shine. This record was only played twice and Side 2 of this record looks flawless. Side 1 has a mark on She's Leaving Home which I listened to and plays without skipping, but does have some pops through the first part of the song. There are a couple of other very light surface marks on side 1 as well which do not look like they would effect the sound. The jacket and box are near mint. Low starting bid and no reserve! Please see our other auctions for more MFSL and Sheffield Lab records.
From Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs this record was re-mastered from the original studio tapes. No 2nd or 3rd generation tapes are used, and the records themselves are meticulously made on heavy 'Super Vinyl' in a process that takes many times longer that the usual method. Pressings are limited to 5,000 copies with each album hand numbered. This is the number 1,745.
