Description
An original 1st press of AYMFB on the UK Charisma label. Matrix 2/2. Stampers 1G/1R - and would thus have been from the 1st 1,000 copies ever pressed. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original E J Day cover. Also included is the original generic white inner sleeve 'patent pending'. So, 100% complete and 100% genuine.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In superb condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection we struggled to make out more than a couple of very light marks - nothing remotely troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. Intros and inbetweens are practically silent and the audio comes across with perfect clarity. Anyone familiar with Rare Bird will know their audio style is very delicate at times with quiet interludes and so a clean copy is an absolute must. Thankfully this copy is preserved to a high level and doesn't seem to have seen much use. The audio is very nice and clean pretty much all the way through. The only interference we could detect was a couple of crackles in a couple of isolated moments...and then a brief burst of static momentarily in 'Part 1' on side 2. But even even this is relatively minor and short lived. A lovely player for sure..a keeper.
Cover (Ex-) In great shape and has been looked after down the years. The front looks good with very little surface wear and just some creases in that top right corner. The rear is marginally better with just one slight crease. The interior is in excellent condition - no issues at all. Edge wear is reasonably light and the spine is in pretty good order. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity and remains a lovely example.
Inner (Ex-) Light ageing. No splits or markings.
