I have visually graded this record as VERY GOOD (NEAR EXCELLENT) using eBay's Guide to Vinyl Record Grades (http://www.ebay.com/gds/A-Guide-to-Vinyl-Record-Grades-/10000000178258830/g.html) and Record Collector Magazine's Grading System (see below). I have NOT tested this record

The record shows some signs of having been played. There are surface marks on both sides and the (very) occasional light scratch, a larger more noticeable one on Side 1 (very light/not feelable). These are mainly only visible under a bright light. There is a small tear at the bottom of the label on Side 1 and a few marks around the spindle hole

The cover is in GOOD (NEAR VERY GOOD) condition using the grading system above/below. The front laminate is creased in several places next to the spine and the corners are scuffed. There is wear to the front laminate along the edge of the opening and on the rear cover next to the opening where the record has been taken in and out of the cover. There is some discolouration to the rear of the cover and marks/creasing along the flaps. However, the front remains glossy and both sides are pretty clean

I have not attempted to clean the record or sleeve

The original inner is discoloured and creased

Overall, this extremely rare and collectable record is in great condition

Mint (M)

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

Excellent (EX)

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good (VG)

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable

Good (G)

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

Fair (F)

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

Poor (P)

The record will not play properly due to scratched, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing

Bad (B)

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler

Are you able to test play this?
Is the 'more noticeable' mark feelable at all?
Have you graded these extremely conservatively, as the cover looks to be in great condition.

 ANSWER:

The 'more noticeable' mark is very feint and can only be seen under a strong light. It is definitely not feelable.
I had a look at both sides again under a bright light and there are only a few very light scratches and scuff marks. I tend to grade conservatively to ensure the buyer is not disappointed when they receive the record. The vinyl is probably close to excellent and the cover close to very good, however as the grading system does not appear to allow for any scratches (under excellent), the fact that there are one or two (albeit very light) pushed me to opt for very good. The same with the cover - it is pretty clean both sides, glossy on the front, no writing, etc., however there is some discolouration and light creasing hence my decision to grade as good.
