Description

This very rare Promo record is in Near Mint condition.  Catalyst was a funk/jazz quartet from Philadelphia, PA,  whose material presaged the work of later jazz fusion artists. The group encountered great success in the 1970s.











































imprints Eddie Green, Odean Pope, Tyrone Brown, andSherman Ferguson form the core of this funky fusion outfit, and they play in abeautiful way that mixes choppy fusion riffs with more soulful instrumentation.Their sound is really unique, and is an incredibly clear realization of a stylethat a lot of other groups attempted, but always managed to muddy up. Tracks onthis one include "Maze", "Athene", "Mail Order",and "Shorter Street"
