British-only release 10-inch LP of late-1950s kids tunes compilation album ‘Children's Favourites Chosen By Uncle Rex’ (1957).

'Uncle Rex' was Rex Palmer, an early BBC Radio presenter who made programmes for children under this pseudonym. He was the first person appointed to the BBC's predecessor, the British Broadcasting Company, by Lord Reith. He also narrated films for British Pathé.

This album has never had a release on CD so this remains the only available source for this album.

Condition (refer also to notes at bottom): Vinyl: VG-EX. Looks superbly clean on visual inspection. One tiny scuff on side 1 but no other obvious signs of any marks, scuffs or hairlines. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity is great throughout. All vocals and instrumentals are wonderfully clear. Plays with no skipping, jumping or sticking. A decent listening experience to a 1950s children's classic.
Outer Sleeve (Cover): EX. Colours are clear and unfaded. Lovely laminated front and back cover. Corners show light nicks and mild wear. The odd crease and disc impression visible on front. A few small bubbles of delamination. Reverse side flipbacks present and attached, with just light nicks to aperture and small tear on laminate. Overall very fine. Could be hard to find a better example of this rare children's album.
Inner Sleeve: EX. Original. White poly-lined paper with square corners and central hole. One side has printed text with handling instructions.

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD: The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection filler.
