Description
Hard-to-find promotional LP from Chris Kenner titled "Land Of 1000 Dances" issued by Atlantic (8117) in 1966. Original MONO pressing. Only album from New Orleans R&B singer has 12 tracks of mostly upbeat and danceable tunes. Kenner worked with the influential Alan Toussaint and they managed to have a hit single "I Like It Like That - Part 1 & 2" (included on this LP) and the title track was covered by many who had more success than Kenner. Despite lots of catchy upbeat songs this album sold poorly and can be a tough find.

Labels are in EXCELLENT condition. Vinyl record is in VG+ condition with very few light surface marks and plays with light, sporadic background noise...sounds great!
