Superb British LP 'Best Of Test Match Special' (1984) by The Lord's Taverners, produced in association with the BBC. Released in a fabulous gatefold sleeve.
The album features Brian Johnston, John Arlott, Christopher Martin-Jenkins, Fred Trueman and Trevor Bailey.
There is a signature / autograph on the front – 'John Lear' (or 'John Leas', or 'John Leap').

The Lord's Taverners was founded in 1950 by a group of actors and BBC employees, led by founding Chairman and member No.1 Martin Boddey, with others including John Mills, Jack Hawkins, John Snagge, Roy Plomley, Gordon Crier, and Brian Johnston, who used to enjoy watching cricket from the Lord's Tavern pub in St. John's Wood Road, close by Lord's Cricket Ground. St. John's Wood Road links St. John's Wood with Maida Vale.

Vinyl: VG-EX. Superbly clean on visual inspection. No obvious signs of marks, scuffs or scratches. Played just pre-listing and sound clarity of these voices is great. Very crisp. No skipping, jumping or sticking. An interesting listening experience.
Outer sleeve (cover): VG. Colours are bright, unfaded and clean. Wonderful gloss outer front. Stored responsibly. Corners lightly nicked and buckled. Front is very clean. Some light scuffs and a long dent. A few creases across surface and tiny creases in from edges. Aperture is clean and undamaged. Reverse side clean and unsoiled. Just some more
dents. Autograph on front is clean and unsmudged. Inner gate shows no sign of soiling or marks. Overall a fantastic example.
Inner sleeve – VG. Original. White paper with rounded corners. Some folding but clean and intact.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc.

FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and / or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
