Description
This rare LP features the magical performance of Camilla Wicks and Sixten Ehrling with the Stockholm Radio Symphony orchestra. The vinyl matrix number is G- P1-8327-D19" and the catalogue number is P8327. Released in 1955, this first pressing edition includes the original inner sleeve, cover and is made of 180-220 vinyl.
Play tested and visually inspected; vinyl playback faultless apart from a few pops early on side 2. I don't believe this is damage and suggest a professional clean will help to bring out the full glory of this exceptional recording. No visible marks and labels exceptionally tidy.
The flip over cover is graded very good plus, still bright and tight ; has damage to the middle of the lip which has been sympathetically repaired to stabilise. Please refer to the pictures.
The composition is Sibelius' Violin Concerto in D Minor and is considered one of the greatest violin concertos of all time. Conducted by Sixten Ehrling with the Symphony orchestra of Radio Stockholm.
