Description
Very rare Charlie Parker 78 RPM record. The leader of the record is Sir Charles Thompson and the All Stars and if you look closely you will see a Charles Parker-Alto Sax right before the Dexter Gordon Tenor Sax listing. An ALl star lineup indeed with Buck Clayton, Danny Barker and J.C. Heard round out the group.Side 2 has a tune called Takin Off. This record was probably recorded in 1940 since that was when Bird played with both Sir Charles Thompson and Jay McShann before stepping out on his own to fame. Record very well kept and in a strong VG condition. Collectors Item keepsake. PayPal preferred and overseas bids welcome. Proper postage will be required to ensure this treasure can be sent safely to it's new owner.
