Description
Rare 78rpm disc with an unattributed "Chinese Song" given the title Sea Swallow here. I used the Shazam app on this record and found that this is the singer Li Xianglan (given variously as Li Hsiang, Li Xiang Lan, et al) singing Hai Yan. I've attached a screenshot of the Shazam result here. I compared the clip in the result with this record and they are identical. On the obscure Old Ned label, this would have been the first release with catalog number ON 1. On the flipside is British singer Leslie Sarony singing the traditional Yorkshire folk song On Ilkla Moor Baht'at.
Disc is in E- condition using the standard VJM system for grading 78s.
