Description

Continuing the slow sell-off of my own Jazz collection, 2000 LPs accumulated over 50 years of buying and listening, culling and selling--those for sale now my own saved favorites, in other words. All those i bought new are at least Mint- and usually Mint, really. Any used ones in lesser condition, i'll describe. Still working back up though the alphabet, continuing the letter P, today including a stack of Flip Phillips LPs...

Here's another rare Phillips, this one with a beautiful David Stone Martin cover in three colors:

Clef MG C-691, titled Flip Wails, by Phillips and His Orchestra--and the list of those players is terrific: Bill Harris, Sweets Edison, Hank Jones, Billy Bauer, Ray Brown, and Buddy Rich. Tunes they perform include Cheek to Cheek, Funky Blues, I've Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, Indiana, Be Be, Dream a Little Dream of Me, Bright Blues, Broadway, Sojoro, Apple Honey, Wrap Your Troubles in Dreams, Long Island Boogie, and Stardust.

Vinyl is VG+ or so, with some light marks, nothing bad. Jacket is strong VG++, with 1" split at top entry and some dusting of the white areas.
