Rare! Conc Hall CRC-46 Haskil-Rybar Brahms Piano Quint Extremely rare and sought after mono record
All my records are strictly vintage unless otherwise stated. I do my best to describe the condition of the item and its flaws. If you are dissatisfied with my grading for good reasons, I do offer refund (exept for shipment costs) without any long debate. But I do need your reasoning why.
DESCRIPTION : Concert Hall CRC-46, US pressing, mono.
Brahms: Piano Quintet in F minor, op 34 performed by Clara Haskil, Peter Rybar, Clemens Dahinden, Heinz Wigand and Antonio Tusa.
CONDITION (Record/Cover) : VG+/VG++
COMMENT (record is entirely playgraded on my system EMT 930 st/Ortofon arm with EMT/Ortofon OFD25 mono cartrigde. Important notice: for grading check a mono cartridge has been used, because top stereo cartridges with shaped diamonds might pick up more noise!!!)
Vinyl: VG+/VG++ with soft crackle and the odd tics. Side 2 starts with 4 pops. The light surface noise must be primarily related to the pressing quality, which I found on several examples of this lp. But this is as good as you probably can find it: beautiful interpretation and playing. The crackling is in the background and not overpowering/disturbing. Nothing for picky audiophiles, but collectors of great music.
Cover: VG++ beginning split at mid lower edge (1"), some aging/discolorations and small pencil marks on back.
GRADING CODES :
NM = Record in new condition, never played or looking like it. Sleeve as new..
NM- = Record in superb condition, very rarely played, may present slight visible marks but no audible ones. Sleeve may present slight signs of natural aging.
VG++ = Record is really nice, may present a few visible marks which are slightly audible. Sleeve may present a few flaws like light openings, ringwear...
VG+ = Record has been played often, presents some visible and audible marks. Sleeve shows noticeable defects like heavy split seam, tears...
VG/VG- = Record doesn't look nice because of general wear, it is in playable condition, but some/all tracks are noisy or click. Sleeve has noticeable general wear.
