Television Orchestra "Een van de Acht", leader: Tony Nolte (Varagram 0017, Holland, 197?)
Great lp by the orchestra for the Dutch game show "Een van de Acht" (known in England as "The Generation Game") which ran from 1970 until 1973. The orchestra features some of the top players in Dutch jazz who on this lp play a great mix of jazz and pop with a latin touch and some funky moments.
Musicians: Wim Kuylenburg, Jan Vleeschouwer, Eddy Engels, Ado Broodboom (trumpets), Rudi Bos, Hans de Ruyter, Bart van Lier, Eric van Lier (trombones), Piet Noordijk, Wim Abma, Ruud Brink, Sander Sprong, Leo Gerritsen (saxes), Rob Franken (piano), Wim Overgaauw (guitar), Victor Kayhatu (bass), Evert Overweg (drums) and Karl Schulze, Wim van de Beek (percussion).
