NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a Very Rare RCA South African Pressing, 78rpm, of a Rare Elvis Presley song! The song "The Girl Of My Best Friend" by Elvis Presley and the Jordanaires (on 78rpm) isn't even listed in my 2007 record price guide by Jerry Osborne! The flip side is "Like a Baby". The pressing number is: 71.322. The matrix number of "The Girl of My Best Friend" is: L2WP.1965/3 and the matrix number of "Like a Baby" is: L2WP.1966/5 I am Not a record guy but the Condition of the record is what I would call very good with an exception.....there are 2/3 (two on one side 3 on the other) heavy indentations on each side of the record, I have no idea what caused these indentations and I wasn't sure the record would even play? I played the record (both sides) on my 1940 Wurlitzer model 71 jukebox (pictured), that has the light weight cartridge converstion....the record played almost flawlessly with 2 or 3 slight 'pops' per side, and almost no background noise at all! The record label is in very nice condition on both sides and the hole is not worn much at all. On Feb-09-09 at 12:07:22 PST, seller added the following information:I went back and played "The Girl Of Best Friend" again and listened real close and I counted SIX 'pops' this time (although most were minor), I have Not cleaned this record at all and cleaning might help with this problem.......also I forgot to mention that on my Wurlitzer 71 jukebox the tonearm did Not reject at the end of the record.
