Rare 78 RPM acetate of Frank Sinatra. Recorded by Dick Charles Recording - N.Y.C. of "The Curse Of An Aching Heart" from the Major Bowes Amateur Hour ....1936. Famous recording where Major Bowes asks who is the spokeman for the band? Sinatra says that he is and quips " we need work". The remainder is Sinatra singing the song with the boys.
Never released on a commercial label and not even found on home recording discs. This is one of the 1st examples of Frank Sinatra recorded singing.
Dick Charles --- worked at NBC and was director of ABC radio before starting his own recording studio in 1954. How he got the master, why he cut the record, how many copies he made and for who ..... is unknown.
At that time Frank Sinatra's ,1954, career was surging after winning an Academy Award for his role in From Here To Eternity.
