A fine specimen of deep and rare mid-west funk and soul. Apparently the same Indiana group, who recorded for Lulu, but this time made inside Michigan borders. Side 1 moves smoothly in moody mid-tempo soul territory. "Freakish Love" delivers a funky soul experience of a raw quality, which has rarely been matched.
