Welcome back to another round of the world's rarest Soul and Funk vinyl, courtesy waterpolo85.

For your consideration, we have: ROCKY GIL & the BISHOPS "Soul Party" LP, featuring "Ooh Oh The Dragon," "Oily," "After Party," "It's Not The End," and 8 others on Tear Drop Records, circa late '60s. Without a doubt, one of the rarest Texas Latin Soul LPs, much tougher to find than any of the Sunny & the Sunliners albums. Contains no less than half a dozen winners, including several cuts found on pricey 45s: the deep funk workouts "Oily" and "After Party," as well as a cover of Marvin Holmes' "Ooh Oh The Dragon." Also contains the super-sought after northern soul cut "It's Not The End." This album is MUCH RARER than the tax shelter reissue from 1977, which fetches over $100 in its own right. Many don't seem to be up on this original issue, check out the soundclips and grab it while you can!

Condition: this original, vintage copy is VG++ (cover), VG++ (vinyl). Jacket is clean with tight corners and seams, 1/4" flake on top seam, mild ringwear on front, clean back. Labels are clean, vinyl is shiny with a few light cosmetic marks; will play VG+++ or better. A clean keeper copy of this rare album.
