Description
Rare Gene Vincent early 1956 rock and roll rare in the 78rpm 10-in format – Capitol #3558 Bluejean Bop/Who Slapped John. Condition is Used - this is an American first pressing of this two-sided rocker that captures the energy of the evolving Rockabilly genre.
After "Be-Bop-A-Lula" became a hit, Vincent and His Blue Caps were unable to follow it up with the same level of commercial success, although they released critically acclaimed songs like "Race with the Devil" (number 96 on the Billboard chart and number 50 on the Cashbox chart) and "Bluejean Bop" (number 49 on the Billboard chart and another million-selling disc).
Both sides play well and grading is reduced only due to minor surface scuffs and wear which is to be expected in a 64 year old shellac record.
This record is essential for any early rock and roll/rockabilly record collection.
