Description
I am an avid record collector, who has been collecting for 40 years, give or take... At this point, my collection is getting too large, so I have decided to part with some of them. I have decided to auction off most of my 10" album collection. Most of these records are in excellent condition, especially considering their age, and most are the first recordings by these artists. All have been infrequently played, with high quality cartridges.
I am listing only albums that are in collectable condition. All are U.S. pressings unless otherwise indicated.
You are bidding on the 10" album "Gerry Mulligan Quartet, with Lee Konitz", Pacific Jazz Records PJLP-2 (U.S.). This 1953 album is one of Mulligan & Konitz's rarest - also features the great Chet Baker.
The record is NM...it looks like it has rarely been played...no spindle marks, no scratches, and high gloss. The sides of the jacket are in very good shape, with a barely visible 1/2-1" of tape residue. The only problem with the cover is a slight 'speckled' effect...I don't know how much of it was part of the original jacket, or how much has simply rubbed off in time. Still, the vinyl will not be found in better shape - a great copy of one of the most sought-after jazz records!
