Description
Hello, up for sale is one of the best albums in my collection (I am a collector, not a dealer). This is the first album by Jimi Hendrix. Besides the great music, there are several things that make this album very special. It is in the rare mono format (which was being phased out when this was issued in 1967). But, there is more - this album is in an amazing state of preservation! It is housed in the original outer cover, which is in great condition - colors are bright, edges are sharp, no wear to corners or the spine. Even better, it is still in the original shrinkwrap, with the original price sticker! I do want to mention that there is the very beginning of ringwear showing at the very bottom of the front album cover (see photo), but it doesn't affect the album graphics in the least. I grade the cover as a conservative Mint Minus. Also includes the original inner sleeve -in crisp, mint condition. Very rare to find this well-loved, typically well-played album with a cover in such great shape. The vinyl is also in fantastic condition - it plays Mint, but I would conservatively grade it overall as Mint Minus as there is the occasional light mark and there are a couple of wispy spindle marks on the label. But, these are very minor, and most sellers wouldn't even mention them. The vinyl retains all of its original luster and shine. I honestly believe there is not another album out there (unless sealed) in this amazing state of preservation. While I own several hundred albums (I've been collecting for a while!), this is easily one of the top five in my collection both in terms of overall rarity and in condition. I have stored it carefully in my smokefree home, and I have kept the vinyl in a separate outer cardboard sleeve to better preserve the original album cover. Check my feedback - I pride myself on providing accurate descriptions and I truly believe you will not be able to find a better example of this album.
