Description
Offered here is a terrific looking picture disc of the Russian-born violinist, actor and general personality Dajos Bela (1897-1978), a rare 1930s 78rpm from the Homochord label. As you see in the pics, it's a very Art Deco looking spray-on shaded effect picture, ideal for framing. I've never played this side (for obvious reasons!). Unforunately the label on this picture side has some loss of the paper, as you can see in the 2nd pic (I'm guessing something was once stuck to it and then peeled off). The artwork and the disc surface however are in excellent condition, no loss of paint anywhere, the delicate shadings are quite beautiful, the pics don't do it justice!
On the other side is an Alto solo of Schubert's "Ora Pro Nobis" by Maria Basca, a Hungarian singer of some note. The label is fine this side, and this side plays fine too.
