This album flat out cooks!
It would've been enough to hear Hank Mobley by himself, but the two trumpets of Donald Byrd and Lee Morgan make for pure magic! The cover grades a more than pleasing VG+. There's a very slight piece of paper missing from the remnant of a price tag. There was a 1/4'' seam split at the upper right hand corner that's been expertly repaired. There's an almost imperceptible sign of ringwear on the cover and slight wear on the corners. That said, the cover is still beautiful with all gloss remaining.
The album grades a stong VG++/NM - with 1 or 2 almost imperceptible surface marks. It is deep grooved and has the 47 West 63rd NYC address. RVG stamped in dead wax. It plays through with no hisses, pops, etc. The winning bidder on this one will have a real gem as nice older bluenotes are getting tougher to find.
