Description
Classic and rare jazz LP by Bill Evans on RIVERSIDE RLP 9399 : ‘Waltz For Debby’. This is the Stereo version with the aqua green labels. Cover is a nice VG+ with original shrink wrap still intact. No writing or tears, but the bottom of the cover at the opening has a slight wave to it that is about 2 inches long. There is also a tiny split to the bottom seam at the opening about 3/8 of an inch long. The vinyl itself is extremely clean and play grades between VG++ and Near Mint. I doubt if it was ever played more than a handful of times. Please see my other auctions for more great blues, jazz, and soul LPs I have listed this week.
Grading Scale:
NM = A near perfect record in every way. Record shows no obvious signs of wear.
VG++ = Somewhere between VG+ and Near Mint.
VG+ = Record has been played, but previous owner took good care of it. Record will have light scuffs or light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. VERY little to no background/surface noise will be heard while the record is playing.
VG = Light to moderate Background/surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's fade and intro. This background noise will not overpower the music otherwise, however. Groove wear and light scratches (deep enough to affect sound) will be noticeable. Still a nice record.
VG- = Somewhere between VG and G+.
G/G+ = Significant surface noise upon playing. Scratches and visible groove wear will be evident. Record will play through without skipping or sticking however.
Fair/Poor = I do not ever sell records at this grade, but they would be cracked, severly warped, with skips or sticks, or have obvious signs of HEAVY play. Basically it will serve better as a coaster than a record.
