Description
- RARE FIRST-PRESSING OF JOY DIVISION'S 1981 GRUFTGESAENGE DOUBLE LP BY DEMOCRAZY RECORDS (DR 003-4), WHICH INCLUDES "SHADOWPLAY" AS TRACK B6 (SEE NOTES BELOW)
- DISCS ARE IN NEAR-MINT CONDITION (SEE PHOTOS)
- GLOSSY CARDBOARD SLEEVE (2ND VERSION, SEE NOTES BELOW) IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION (SEE PHOTOS)
This is the original first release from the original pressing plates and so contains "Shadowplay" as track B6, which is missing from subsequent re-issues. The discs are in near-mint condition (see photos) and are identified as first-pressing by the matrix numbers having hyphens and appearing as:
Side A: JD - 1 (stamped) Side B: JD - 2 (etched) Side C: JD - 3 (etched) Side D: JD - 4 (stamped)
This first release came in two cover variants. This cover is the second version and is glossy with a black stripe along the bottom of the front, and no maximum-price notice nor dedication to "Ertl" on the on back. It is in excellent condition, with a few minor creases, scratches, dents, and other shelf-wear consistent with age (see photos).
